The Nike Air Raid “OG Black/Grey” is a Fall 2020 re-release of the outdoor performance basketball shoe originally from 1992. The silhouette’s rugged appearance is pure ‘90s-era Nike hoops footwear—reinforced midfoot straps and upgraded tooling helped the Air Raid set itself apart from its indoor contemporaries. Black mesh paneling can be found on either side of the upper. Tonal leather overlays appear on the forefoot, eyelets, mid-panel, and collar. The two adjustable nylon cross straps provide a lockdown fit. Classic “Air Raid” branding is located on the ankle strap and white “Nike Air” embroidered is stitched onto the black leather tongue. The phrase “For Outdoor Use Only” on the back of the shoe adds a decidedly retro vibe to this multi-terrain basketball shoe.
