Largely responsible for bringing awareness to the U.K.’s Grime movement stateside, Skepta continues to push the culture forward with a stunning Nike collab. Sneaker lovers across the pond have an undying love for runners, so we see the Grime artist give the iconic Air Max 97 Ultra model his personal touch. He drew inspiration from 1999’s Nike Air Tuned Max, the first shoe he ever saved up money to buy. The Boy Better Know founder translated that nostalgia over by outfitting the upper with hints of iridescence throughout. In the end, we receive a polyurethane-coated copper look, with rose gold leather hints, a black mesh and an updated welded Swoosh logo that replaces the usually embroidered insignia.
