The Nike SB Dunk Low Pro “Lunar Eclipse West” is a March 2006 colorway of the low-top skate shoe in a colorway inspired by the lunar eclipse. A limited release from the SB Dunk’s “Black Box” era, a name given to the time period that Nike SB released Dunks in black shoe boxes, the “Lunar Eclipse” collection consisted of “East” and “West” colorways. Both sneakers feature a gradient design that mimics the effects of a lunar eclipse, which occurs when the moon moves into the earth’s shadow. The “East” displays a dark-to-light side profile while the “West” inverts the look from light-to-dark. White tumbled leather can be found on the perforated toe and light grey leather appears on the forefoot. The color block transitions into dark grey leather on the mid-panel. The total eclipse is completed on the heel with black leather detailing. A black leather Swoosh appears on both sides and white “Nike” embroidery dots the heel. White contrast stitching outlined the aforementioned overlays and Swoosh branding. An eclipse logo is embroidered on the lateral side of the heel. White shoelaces are layered on top of the puffy white mesh tongue. A capable performance skate shoe, Zoom Air cushioning is embedded within the white midsole for a responsive ride. Release date: March 2006.
