The Nike Air More Uptempo “Peace, Love and Basketball” is a Fall 2020 colorway included in the retro-inspired footwear and apparel collection of the same nickname. The “Peace, Love and Basketball” collection salutes the groovy hippie movement of the 1960’s, specifically in the Haight-Ashbury neighborhood of San Francisco. The collection utilizes the blue and yellow colors of the city’s local basketball team, the San Francisco (now Golden State) Warriors. Dressed in a similar color scheme to the uniform colors of the Bay Area NBA franchise, the “Peace, Love and Basketball” Uptempo is part of a collection that includes a Blazer Mid and OG Challenger in the same Game Royal and Speed Yellow combination. This bold colorway of Scottie Pippen’s former signature hoops shoe retains the model’s original bold graffiti-style “AIR” letters on either side. Royal blue leather forms the base of the upper. Yellow accenting appears on the pull tab, black leather “AIR” detailing, and on the embroidered Swoosh on the toe. A Speed Yellow jeweled Swoosh is located on the back of the shoe.
