The Nike Air Max Penny 2 “Wheat Gold” is a casual lifestyle colorway of Anfernee “Penny” Hardaway’s second signature shoe. Penny Hardaway’s Nike Air Max Penny 2 succeeded the basketball star’s highly popular debut signature shoe, the Nike Air Max Penny 1 when it was first released back in 1997. The model has since resurfaced as a lifestyle sneaker in recent years. Here, Wheat Gold canvas appears on the eyestay and collar while Coconut-Milk-colored leather appears on the shoe’s base. Contrasting Safety Orange piping borders the aforementioned overlay panel and appears on the small embroidered Swoosh on the collar. The fiery orange hue can also be found on the “1-Cent” branding on the tongue. Underfoot, a pre-worn-looking midsole gives the shoe a decidedly vintage feel. Release date: June 1, 2023
