Kendrick Lamar’s third version of the Nike Cortez released in 2018 and was dubbed the “Cortez Kenny III.” Starting with the classic nylon and suede construction of the shoe in black and white, the rap superstar added a number of uniqe details to the iconic silhouette including heel pull tabs, ribbons that run down each tongue reading “Bet It Back,” and Chinese characters embroidered at the toe that translate to “Damn,” the name of Lamar’s critically-acclaimed 2017 album.
