The Moncler x adidas NMD Mid “Core Black” is a collaboration by the high fashion house on the casual shoe that updates its design into a snow boot-like silhouette. Designed through the lens of Moncler, the Italian luxury fashion brand that specializes in performance outerwear, the adidas NMD Mid is part of a collection of sneakers and apparel by Moncler and adidas. The upper features a black padded ripstop construction made with water-resistant Gore-Tex material. A lace-up drawstring on the top of the shoe nods to Moncler’s mountaineering roots. The same can be said for the boot-like lacing setup. Underfoot, the exaggerated midsole gives the shoe a contemporary appearance while the lugged outsole ensures traction on a variety of surfaces.
