The Nike Space Hippie 04 “Iron Grey” is a futuristic low-top shoe by Nike that is constructed from recycled materials. The footwear brand debuted its progressive “Space Hippie” collection in Summer 2020 by offering models like the Space Hippie 04, Space Hippie 02, and more, with the concept that these sneakers were made using leftover “space junk” from living life on Mars. The model’s woven sock-like upper is cast in Iron Grey. A dotted white Swoosh logo appears on either side and a black patch with orange Swoosh and “04” branding is stitched onto the top of the knit tongue. The black nylon ribbon-like pull tab on the heel features grey “Nike” branding. The midsole displays a speckled design and is constructed from Nike’s Grind material. The eco-friendly theme continues on the outsole where reusable “space junk” appears on the outsole. Release date: November 14, 2020.
