The EARLS COLLECTION x ASICS GT-2160 “NGĀWARI” is a collaboration between the Australian clothing brand and ASICS on a colorway inspired by Mãori culture. Founded by Lewi Brown in 2018, EARLS COLLECTION brings a contemporary vibe to heritage-style sportswear. The ASICS GT-2160 “NGĀWARI” represents both EARLS debut sneaker project, and an ode to Brown’s Mãori roots. The upper features a Cream open-mesh construction with Peppercorn suede overlays. The green accenting found throughout the shoe pays homage to pounamu, a revered Mãori stone. Elsewhere, the insoles display pāua-inspired print. The shoe’s design is also said to be inspired by Brown’s late father and grandfather. Release date: February 11, 2024
