The Nike LeBron 8 V2 Low “Miami Nights” is a celebratory colorway of the second variation of LeBron James’s eighth signature shoe with Nike Basketball that was re-released in May 2021. Arriving nearly ten years after it debuted in September 2011, the “Miami Nights” is believed to have been a special makeup dedicated to James and the Miami Heat’s impending NBA Championship following the formation of the Heat’s “Big 3” of Dwayne Wade, James, and Chris Bosh. Of course, the Heat didn’t actually win the ‘11 NBA Championship (the Dallas Mavericks did), but that didn’t stop Nike Basketball from dropping this design later that year. Design wise, a confetti-like, South Beach inspired pattern adorns the upper of both sides. A white synthetic Swoosh and Nike’s Flywire support tech appear on the upper, as well. White leather eyelets and a split white mesh and black neoprene tongue provide additional design elements. A full-length, red-tinted visible Air unit under the white foam midsole completes the look. Release date: May 11, 2021.
